The Lemonade Diet Review

I heard a lot about The Lemonade Diet, so I decided to try it out for myself. Find out what happened when I tried the Lemonade Diet.

I think if you were to take every single “piece of garbage” product that promised you the world and stuck it in a landfill, I think that landfill would be big enough to be its own country.  There always seems to be somebody selling a useless product that claims to work.

I’ve fallen for it myself, just as I am sure you have, as well. Sometimes marketing can be very powerful.  Big companies know how to take advantage of this. They simply know the right kind of angle to take when it comes this.

When you look at the diet industry, it’s almost like the public is completely defenseless. If you are like me, (a person who had weight problems) when you see a diet product, you can’t help but think “hmmm….I wonder if that works”. Then you start thinking about all of the other diet products that you’ve bought, and haven’t helped you one bit. You can’t help but feel pessimistic about the whole thing.

As a kid, I didn’t have any problems with weight.  I had the metabolism of a gazelle. I could eat an entire large pizza by myself, and still lose weight (I’m exaggerating, but you get the point). So, I wasn’t the healthiest eater as a kid, because…..well, I didn’t have to be. But human body has a way of not being that kind, as you grow older.  When I started to reach my 30s, it was painfully evident that my unhealthy eating habits caught up with me.  I was officially overweight.

I knew that I wasn’t the only fat person in this world.  The world has gotten a lot fatter over the last couple of decades.  I guess it has something to do with the “fast food” generation that I was part of.  But just because I wasn’t alone in this, didn’t mean I wanted to be part of the club.

I wanted to take care of the problem.  I didn’t have any dreams of having six-pack abs.  I just wanted to stop looking so unhealthy and unfit. I knew if I kept on the same pace that I was on, I was going to look like one of those people that you see in “The Biggest Loser” TV show. It was just a slippery slope away.

I was on MANY diet plans

After I declared to myself that I would lose weight, I began to look at all the diet products that were on the market.  Needless to say, there were many, and looking back on it, I feel like I tried almost every single one.

As you could imagine, most of them did absolutely nothing for me. The whole process was making me feel incredibly aggravated.  I’d read about people losing weight on the internet, and wonder why none of these products have helped me in the slightest.

I told my brother about this, who of course has the prototypical weight for his height, and can eat whatever he wants (I was very jealous of him). Anyways…..I was venting to him about my frustrations. He told me about one of his friends who recently lost some weight on a diet.  He didn’t remember what the diet was but he told me that he would find out for me. A little part of me just wanted to throw in the towel and give up on the idea.

2 days later

2 days later I get a call from my brother. He was telling me that he was talking to his friend who lost all that weight.  My brother told me that he used The Lemonade Diet.

He told me that he lost over 25 lbs.  I immediately rolled my eyes when I heard the name.  I mean…..come on……the name “Lemonade Diet” just sounds like a scam, doesn’t it? It’s a good thing I was on the phone, because he couldn’t see me rolling my eyes.  Anyways, he told me that he gave his friend my email address and he was going to email me the link to where he bought it.

Lemonade DietI thanked my brother for all the trouble he went through, but in the back of my mind, I didn’t think I was going to use it. It sounded like a waste of money to me

But my brother’s friend emailed me with the link to The Lemonade Diet site, and I began to take a look at the site.  I was very cynical about it, though. After all, I’ve been burned before by this, so my expectations were rock bottom.

But as I was reading more information about The Lemonade Diet, I began to notice that it was a diet plan that consisted of getting rid of toxins in the body, which would in turn make you lose weight.  This was kind of a radical idea to me, because out of all the diets that I tried, none of them were about “cleansing” the body. The fact that it was different from any of the other products that I tried was definitely a good thing.

So, even though I was pretty cynical about diet plans, at the very least my curiosity had been peaked.

Then I noticed something else interesting on their sales page:

2 Free Bottles

On the site, they were giving away two free months worth of bottles of The Lemonade Diet along with free refills.  It was pretty apparent that it was a marketing ploy.

But I began to think about it, and looking back at all the diet products I had previously bought, none of them were giving away anything for free (not even the shipping).  I actually thought it was nice that they’d give something for free, even if it was just a marketing ploy.  Although, I would have to pay a little extra for the shipping of the free 2 month supply, but it was still a pretty good deal.

So, as I was arguing with myself on whether I should buy The Lemonade Diet or not, I finally shrugged my shoulders, and said “why the hell not”. They had an unconditional “money back refund”, so it’s not like I really had anything lose, except some weight. If it doesn’t work, then I’ll send the remainder back for a refund, and move on.

It took a couple of weeks for it to arrive.  It’s wasn’t the fault of the company.  It got a little lost during transit, but they gave me a tracking number to keep checking on it.  But eventually, I got it.

I opened the box of supplements along with the directions of the diet plan, and began to read them to myself. I had a nice hamburger that night, knowing that I was going to start the diet plan, fresh in the morning. So I figured I would get in one last greasy meal.

What The Beginning Was Like

As I began the diet plan the next day, I kept telling myself “SHOW SOME PATIENCE!!” Don’t expect miracles and be realistic. Sometimes I can be a little kid if I don’t get what I want right away.  I wasn’t going to let that happen again.

With that being said, the first 3 days, I didn’t notice anything different.  On the outside I was still being optimistic, but in the back of my mind, I thought “oh no…I’ve been scammed again”.

But on the fourth day, I had 3 solid bowel movements in one day.  I haven’t had 3 solid bowel movements in one day since I was a kid.  I knew something was up.

I know that hearing about somebody else’s bowel movement is pretty gross, but this was the basis of The Lemonade Diet.  I can tell you I started to feel “lighter” after the fourth day.

As the week was winding down, I had not weighed myself on purpose.  I wanted to see what I weighed at the end of the week.  I had lost 3 pounds.  I know that isn’t anything earth-shattering, yet it was a pretty big deal to me. Quite frankly, when you compare the lack of success I had with the other products, I was ecstatic to lose 3 pounds.

With many of the diet plans I took prior to The Lemonade Diet, I just felt sluggish and on top of it, I wasn’t losing weight, but after the lemonade diet, I felt a lot more energized.  It’s amazing how much toxins I had in my body.

After a couple of months of being on the diet, I had lost 17 pounds.  I was still a little overweight, but certainly a lot better than what I was before.

How Did It Turn Out For Me?

I am thrilled to report that The Lemonade Diet was definitely not a scam (at least for me it wasn’t). I wanted to create this website to let others who are struggling to find a diet program to work for them, that there are still good options out there, like this one.

I took a break for one month and got off the diet, and I did gain about 5 pounds in that month, but the next month I went back on The Lemonade Diet, and I lost 10 pounds that month, so if you are scoring at home, I lost a total of 22 pounds since I started the diet.  Not too shabby....

But it’s definitely not just the weight that’s come off.  There have been some other improvements as well:

  1. My energy has skyrocketed! I guess it doesn’t take a genius to realize that when you start to remove the toxins in your body, you’re going to have more energy.  I used to be really sluggish. But I am no longer the lethargic person I used to be.  I’m always up for anything now.
  2. I’ve started going to the gym.  This has a lot to do with my newfound energy, which is only going to help me lose more weight and get in better shape. By next year, I think I’m going to be in my ideal weight, as long as I keep this up.
  3. My self confidence is back. There is nothing quite like getting in shape to help your self confidence.  I was single, and it certainly didn’t help that I was overweight.  It’s hard to feel confident in yourself when you don’t feel attractive.  Those days are long gone.  I met somebody really special, and I don’t think if I stayed the way I was, I would have been confident enough to ask them out.
